Though construction of major portion of the Imphal-Moreh section of NH-2 has been completed, Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar expressed discontentment over the slow pace of work along a stretch of the highway.
The Minister was on a two-day inspection tour of the Imphal-Moreh section of NH-2 since yesterday along with some ministers, MLAs and top officials of the PWD.
The ministerial team led by Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar also inspected various other development projects undertaken in Chandel district during the tour.
Dr Ratan said major portion of construction of Imphal-Moreh stretch of the National Highway has been completed.
He however, expressed dissatisfaction over construction of the 30-kilometre stretch of the highway which was entrusted to Hyderabad based Avantika Company.
Observing that the retarded pace by the company of that stretch is likely to cause delay in the whole construction, the Works Minister said he would submit a report to the CM in order to effect speeding up of the highway construction.
