Two highly decomposed dead bodies with signs of hang to death were recovered from Chingdong Leikai, 4 km on the north of Jiribam Police Station today morning.
Police suspected the two die around 15 days back.
The two dead bodies suspected to be two missing students from Cachar in Assam were discovered by birth hunting children.
Police retrieved the dead bodies from the spot and kept in the custody of the Jiribam Police station.
Police said that both heads were found separated from the bodies.
One of the dead bodies was found still hanging while the other one on the ground.
Bodies were highly decomposed so that they seem to die or killed some 15 day back.
A school bag was found from the spot.
A per the name written in the exercise book, it was written as S Umananda Sharma, Ramnagar, Silchar.
The two dead persons were from Cachar of Assam as their identities have been established as Samurailakpam Umananda (19) @ Moni son of S Motilal Sharma, Bishelu, Govindnaga part-I, Sonai and Koijam Bimola (20) son of K Benu, Bonterapur, Shillong Leikai, Golji, Sonai.
Elder brother of Umananda, Prameshwor said that both the deceased were studying at Standard-XI commerce and have been missing since June 30 last after they failed in the examinations they appeared.
He also expressed suspicion when his brother and brother's friend was found dead at a place in Jiribam disclosing that his brother was never been at Jiribam before.
He also suspected that they were killed by miscreants.
