Imphal, May 16 2024: Assam Rifles recently organised a series of events at Sita village to raise awareness about environmental conservation.

These events included a walkathon, a marathon, and a talk focusing on the significance of preserving our natural surroundings.

According to PRO IGAR (S), Sita villagers enthusiastically participated in the walkathon and marathon, demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability.

The large turnout underscored the community 's collective dedication to protecting our planet for future generations, said the PRO, adding that the speakers emphasised the significance of individual actions in environmental preservation, promoting responsibility and proactive community engagement in addressing environmental issues.
