World Meditation Day held, toilet blocks constructed

Assam Rifles observed World Meditation Day at Phundrei, Sajik Tampak, Sehlon and Jou-pi villages on December 21 to raise awareness about benefits of meditation and importance of maintaining mental health as an integral part of overall well-being.
According to a PRO IGAR (S) release, the observance programmes included meditation session, open conversations about mental health, and lectures on emotional intelligence and coping mechanisms.
The attendees were also encouraged to spread the message of positive mental health, personal wellness, and social harmony within their communities, said the release.
On the other-hand, Assam Rifles on Sunday handed over three toilet blocks it constructed at B Bongjang village in Tengnoupal district under the Operation Sadbhavana.
The facilities were formally handed over to the village authorities in the presence of 30 villagers and representatives of civil society organisations (CSOs), said the PRO in another release, adding that the project aims to enhance sanitation and hygiene in the community, address critical grievances and ensure a healthier environment.
