Statues of Maharaja Gambhir, Nara Singh unveiled

The statues of the Manipur Levy Army, including those of Maharaja Gambhir Singh and Nara Singh, were unveiled on Monday at the Manipur Levy Ground in Chandrapur, Baskandi, Cachar, Assam.
The function jointly organised by Maharaj Gambhir Singh Memorial Committee; United People's Front (UPF), Manipur; Manipuri Youth Front of Assam (MYFA), Silchar; and Hingminnasi, Manipur was attended by Ningthemcha Sanayaima, who is the great-grandson of Bir Tikendrajit, as the chief guest.
Memorial Committee president Keisham Bidyapati Singha, UPF president Nongthombam Rupachandra, MYFA president Thangjam Brojen Singha, Assam minister Kaushik Rai, UCM president Yengkokpam Dhiren, consultative committee member Khomdram Ratan, UPF advisor Leishangbam Jadumani, member of Manipuri Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi Dr KN Chand, AMMPAL president Beni Mishra, social worker Budha Chandra, MGSMC Chandrapur advisor Shijagurumayum Lakhikanta Sharma, AAMSU president Ngashepam Sanahal and Singerbond GP ex-president Dema Khan also attended the function.
