Barbers to cease service over 'demand'

Imphal, July 11 2024: A special emergency meeting of Manipur Barbers' Association (MBA) held Thursday at Irawat Bhawan decided to close all the barber shops in view of unbearable monetary demands of different organisations.

According to a statement of MBA, the special emergency meeting discussed unbearable monetary demand being made from different organisations and accordingly decided to close barber shops for sometime.

The decision, however, is not against any organisation but due to insecurity as barber shops were asked to cease operaton with immediate effect by an organisation, the statement said and urged the organisation concerned to review the decision of collecting unbearable monetary demand from barbers.
