Close on the heels of the 42 hours public curfew, the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has called upon all the people to stage sit-in-protests by blocking half of the roads in their respective localities.
In line with a resolution of the public convention held on May 2, volunteers of JCILPS Women Wing gathered in front of the offices of BJP and Congress party today and shouted many slogans.
Later in the evening torch rallies were taken out at different places, conveyed a press release issued by JCILPS.

Volunteers of JCILPS Students' Wing and Women Wing would stage different forms of agitation tomorrow too.
It then called upon all the people to block half the roads in their localities by staging mass sit-in-protests and human chains from May 10 onward.
After sunset a large number of womenfolk with torches (meiras) in their hands took out rallies all over the place, demanding that the ILP or a legislation to stop the inflow of non-people is enforced.
The rallyists apart from marching through the roads of Imphal raised slogans demanding that the three Bills passed in the State Assembly on August 31 year are converted to Bills.
Policemen were seen all over the place to check the outbreak of any unwanted incidents.
