Imphal, April 08 2025: The Konsakhul (Konsaram) Village Authority has extended gratitude to Naga People's Organisation (NPO), Senapati for convening its presidential council at Konsaram today.

In a statement, the Village Authority continued that they are thankful to the NPO team- Mao Council, Poumai Naga Union, Maram Union, Thangal Union and Zeliangrong Union for their dedication and concern for the wellbeing of the Naga people, particularly during the challenging period.

Saying that they believe NPO will continue to be a bulwark against the aggression and expansionist threat posed by external forces, especially the Kuki expansionist agenda, the Village Authority added that the NPO's tireless effort in safeguarding the rights and dignity of the Naga people stand as a testament to their leadership and resolve.

It stated that they will support NPO in the pursuit of Naga unity and the preservation of their heritage.

Claiming that their ancestral land, Konsaram Village and 'God given inheritance' have been occupied by outsiders who were once guests on their soil, the Village Authority maintained, "What was once our by right and by origin is now under siege" .

Appealing to all the indigenous people to act to prevent becoming strangers 'in our own land', it added that through unity 'we can reclaim not only our land but our dignity and our rightful place in history' .
