Imphal, December 24 2021: District administration of Imphal West has made prior permission mandatory for events involving large gathering of public or for taking out processions or rally in the entire district.

A notification issued by district magistrate, Imphal West Thokchom Kirankumar on Friday said that persons or organisations/bodies wishing to convene large gathering of people or take out procession/rally in the district shall ensure that due permission from competent authority is taken by providing full details of the programme and organiser (s).

All applications shall be submitted at least four days ahead of the scheduled time so as to undergo due process of check and verification by the district administration as well as the police department.

Applicants shall ensure that all extant rules/guidelines issued by the Government are complied with and shall take full responsibility for non-compliance, the notification added.
