ZUF welcomes ex-NSCN-IM cadres into its fold

Imphal, April 08 2025: Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has extended a red-carpet welcome to four former cadres of NSCN-IM who formally joined the Front along with their arms.

In a statement issued Tuesday, ZUF announced its acceptance of NSCN-IM deputy kilonser Lungliabuing Newme, also known as Bonnie, along with 'Raju-peyu' Kingson Chawang, 'Raju-peyu' Ngamthang Balang, and 'Khapur' Kaire Bariam.

The cadres were formally inducted into the front after completing necessary formalities on April 4.ZUF described the move as a 'delight' and commended the new members for making a 'right decision'.

The front said their decision was based on a realisation of ZUF's 'logical and pragmatic' approach in its dealings with the Government of India.

Reaffirming its commitment to the Zeliangrong people's political rights and struggle for a secured status within the Union of India, the group reiterated its open invitation to others willing to serve the common cause.
