IRCS extends aid to crisis victims

Bishnupur, May 06 2025:
As part of the month-long observance of World Red Cross Day-2025, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Bishnupur district branch, under the guidance of IRCS Manipur State Branch, extended aid to the crisis affected victims who are staying in 'red zone' areas and relief camps across the district.
The aid distribution on Tuesday was carried out under the leadership of Bishnupur DC Lourembam Bikram Singh and Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Bishnupur chairman Dr Wahengbam Gulapi Singh, by IRCS Bishnupur secretary Dr H Romen, member W Tollangou, JRC/YRC assistant coordinators Rakesh, publicity & public relations coordinator O Brojen, and life members K Debajit, M Binde, M Rajendro.
IRCS members distributed hygiene kits to crisis-affected individuals from various villages under Kumbi assembly constituency, including Pombikhok, Chandonpokpi, Chairel Mangjil, Leingangtabi, Thoubaltabi, Khoijumantabi, Laingoubi, Chairel Ahallup, Wangoo Sandangkhong, Moirang Khunou and Wangoo Ahallup Relief Camp.
In addition, blankets, tarpaulins and mosquito nets were provided to the crisis-affected families who lost their loved ones recently.
