Gandhi Shilp Bazaar begins

Imphal, March 19 2025: M/S Sanathoi Silk Embroidery Handloom and Handicraft Cooperative Society Limited, Wangkhei Konsam Leikai organised a week-long Gandhi Shilp Bazaar (District), a fair for handloom and handicraft products from March 17 at Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi under the sponsorship of Ministry of Textiles.

The inaugural programme of the fair presided over by Shilp Guru awardee G Shanti Devi was attended Trade, Commerce and Industries director Yumnam Robita as chief guest and Ministry of Textiles, Handicraft Service Centre senior assistant director (H) Mutum Sanjeev Kumar as guest of honour.

Speaking at the programme, Sanjeev Kumar informed that the Ministry of Textiles has been taking up several initiatives for improving the livelihood of skilled artisans.

He also advised the artisans to avail benefit of the online marketing avenues.
