Imphal, May 14 2025: Assam Rifles on Tuesday organised an interactive session under the theme "Joining Indian Armed forces" at Assam Rifles location in Thoubal with the participation of 23 students.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the participants were educated about the opportunities, values and responsibilities associated with serving in the Indian armed forces.

It also focused on the importance of discipline, teamwork and selfless service that make military life unique and inspiring The speaker highlighted the pride and honour of serving the nation and the wide range of career options available in the armed forces.

Students were briefed on the pride, honour and opportunities associated with serving the nation in uniform.

The students showed interest in the session and actively participated by asking relevant and thoughtful questions about career prospects in the armed forces, said the PRO.

On the other hand, Assam Rifles on Tuesday visited The Malsawm Initiative (TMI), Malsawm Ability Resource Centre (MARC), Pearsonmun in Churachandpur district to donate essential furniture and interact with the especially abled children.

As a part of the civic action plan, Assam Rifles handed over 45 chairs to support the inclusive learning environment at TMI.

Assam Rifles also shared a meal and spent quality time with the special children and the staff, the PRO informed.
