Govindas inaugurates community halls, fitness arena

Imphal, May 11 2025: Bishnupur MLA Govindas Konthoujam on Sunday inaugurated Khongnang Makha community hall and Sorarel Sabal community hall both in Bishnupur Ward Number 1, and PYPFA Fitness Arena, Ward No 3, all constructed under his MLA Local Area Development Fund.

Speaking at the inauguration of Khongnang Makha community hall, Govindas assured toilet facility for the hall at the soonest possible, installation of high mast lighting system at the adjacent ground to encourage sports activities and an open gym.

In his address during the Sorarel Sabal community hall inauguration programme, the MLA explained that floor of the hall has not been plastered to facilitate conduct of 'Kang' game at the venue.

He also encouraged formation of men and women 'Kangkhut', assuring to sponsor such teams.

After inaugurating the PYPFA Fitness Arena, Govindas said it has been established as per the demand of public especially youth, and exude confidence that the facility will help the local youths maintain fitness.
