Shirui Fest: TNL calls for peaceful celebration

Ukhrul, May 06 2025: Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has urged the public to celebrate the upcoming 5th State Level Shirui Lily Festival 2025 with enthusiasm while upholding the values and traditions of the Tangkhul Naga community.

In a public advisory issued Tuesday, TNL additional secretary Thanreingam Muivah called on all communities within the jurisdiction of the Tangkhul Naga Long to avoid any activities that may disrupt the peaceful conduct of the festival.

The state event is scheduled from May 20 to 24 in Ukhrul.

The advisory emphasised the importance of ensuring smooth and free movement for the public during the five-day celebration and warned that any nuisance or disturbance would not be tolerated.
