Traffic diversion for half marathon today

Imphal, January 31 2025: Traffic Control Police Wing SP has notified that in connection with the 'Half Marathon-21 Km and Fun Run-5 Km' to be organised by Department of Transport on February 1, as a part of the National Road Safety Month, 2025, vehicular movement will be diverted on the route of the marathon from City Convention Centre to Meitram.

As per the notification issued Thursday, one side of the road i.e., the southern flank of the road meridian starting from Sanjenthong/GPO Babupara to Oil Depot Malom shall be closed whereas the northern-side of the same stretch will be used as 'Two Way Road' from 5 am till end of the marathon.

The route of the marathon will be City Convention Centre - Konung Mamang - Sanjenthong - GPO - Nityaipat Chuthek - Keishampat -Kwakeithel - Ningthemkol - Airport Road - Malom Bazar - Malom Oil Depot - Meitram and return back on the same side of the route till City Convention Centre as finishing point, it further informed.
