Imphal, March 19 2025: Uripok Achom Leikai Nupi Lup organised a sit-in protest on Wednesday condemning the gun attack at the residence of one RK Manisana near the basketball court of Uripok Achom Leikai on Tuesday at around 4pm.Speaking on the sidelines, Lup president Sh Modhubala condemned the attack which occurred while the prize distribution for Yaoshang sports was about to be carried out.

She continued that following the attack, parents did not let their children come to receive the prizes out of fear for their safety.

As such, she appealed to all concerned not to repeat such acts in the future.

During the sit-in, the protestors held placards inscribed with slogans, "Don't shoot guns in residential areas", "Let us live in peace", "Violence is not the answer", and "Let's live in harmony" .
