Meritorious students of Kakching school felicitated

Kakching, December 23 2024: The Annual Literary and Cultural Meet and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Kakching Higher Secondary School was held on Monday, during which students who excelled in various fields were felicitated.

The event was attended by School's former principal Kshetrimayum Manihal Devi, incumbent principal Naorem Nomita Devi and retired lecturer Dr Nongmaithem Pramodini Devi as president, chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

During the ceremony, students who distinguished themselves in recitation, short story reading, extempore speech, monologue/ mono act, classical and folk dance, and music were honoured along with students who topped the Class X and XII examinations.

Aiena Naorem, who secured the first position in the Commerce stream of the Class XII examination conducted by CoHSEM, along with the second position holder Christina Yengkhom, and the third position holder, Moirangthem Krishnakumar, were felicitated.

In the Science Stream, Yengkhom Bhumika, the school's topper, along with the second-ranked Kshetrimayum Abhinash and Md Jahirkhan, were felicitated.

In the Arts stream, Yendrembam Lanchenbi, Yumnam Dolly Chanu and Sendy Sohneichim Tholungni, along with other subject toppers, were felicitated on the occasion.

The three CGPA toppers of the school in the HSLC examination 2024 conducted by BoSEM namely Shougaijam Albish, Mayanglambam Julia and Nongmaithem Lor-ison were also honoured during the event.

The awards were sponsored by former principal Kshetrimayum Manihal, former lecturer Dr Nongmaithem Pramodini, vice principal Nongmaithem Sunita and lecturers Ksh Mema and Ksh Indrani.
