Painting contest on drug abuse held

Kakching, January 31 2025: Under the joint aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) and National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chandel in collaboration with Naga Students' Union, Chandel (NSUC) organised a painting competition on the topic "Issues of Drug Abuse & Its Impact in the Society" at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Liwa Sarei in Chandel district on Friday.

The programme was presided over JNV, Chandel principal SK Amarson Lamkang, with NSUC president Ruwnglar Elly Anal, and JNV, Chandel teacher Kiran Mayengbam as special guests.

The programme focused on sensitising on the issues of drug abuse and de-addiction schemes/policies in the state.

The students of JNV, Chandel took active participation in the competition.

Participants were categorised into two categories for Class V to VIII students, and for Class IX-XII students, a release by DLSA, Chandel secretary Masana E Panmei informed.
