Wheel chairs, white cane, cash distributed

Bishnupur/Jiribam, December 03 2024: Bishnupur Zonal Education Office (ZEO) along with SHAKSHAM Bishnupur Zilla observed International Day of Persons with Disabilities on the theme, 'Amplifying the leadership of person with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future' at Oinam Government High School on Tuesday.

The observance was attended by S Indrajit Singh, who is AC to Bishnupur DC, as chief guest, Bishnupur ZEO N Chingkhei Singh as president, 33 AR Maibam post captain Sai Vivek, SHAKSHAM Bishnupur Zilla president RK Premjit Singh and Oinam High School head mistress Lucy Elangbam as guests of honour.

As a part of the observance, wheel chairs were distributed to four disabled people, white cane to ten disabled people and cash award with certificates to four disabled students who scored high marks at Class X examination conducted by BQSEM in 2023 .

Similarly, District Social Welfare Officer, Jiribam along with Samagra Shiksha, Jiribam District Project Officer, Jiribam Chief Medical Officer, and Achievement of Rising Maiden (ARM) jointly observed International Day of Persons with Disabilities at Institute for Children with Disabilities (ICD)Tocated at Lakhipur in Jiribam.

The observance presided over by Jiribam district Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Thoudam Amurashi Devi was attended by Jiribam district hospital CMO Thiyam Bharat Singh as chief guest and Parents Association of ICD, Jiribam secretary Md Ain Uddin as guest of honour.
