Jiribam DC focuses on tribal villages

Jiribam, May 19 2025:
Under the supervision of Jiribam deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar, continuous efforts are being made towards sustainable development of tribal under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), an initiative of the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs in Jiribam district through the district administration where three tribal villages, namely Jairolpokpi, Chotobekra and Bhutangkhal have been identified.
Various schemes/programmes under different ministries have also been taken up by the district administration and the concerned line departments so far such as PMAY, MGNREGS, Kishan Credit Card (KCC), PM KISAN, IGOAPS, IGWPS, IG-DPS, ICDS, Jan Dhan Account, Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY), PMSBY, Jal Jeevan Mission, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Caste Certificate, Domicile Certificate, etc.
Gaps have been identified in these villages and efforts are on to check the saturation level.
The line departments concerned under the supervision of the deputy commissioner have started working in co-ordination to deliver the benefits under various schemes in these three identified villages.
Special drive will be carried out in the villages to create more awareness about different schemes and programmes, and further identify gap, if any, to fill with the help of different line departments under DAJGUA .
