Excitement and enthusiasm were clearly visible on the faces of 30 odd children of Senapati and Tamenglong districts who left Senapati district headquarters this morning for an extensive Rajastan tour.
The tour is being organised by 22 Assam Rifles of the 59 Brigade under the sponsorship of Red Shield Division.
The tour was flagged off by Commander Hqs 59 Brigade, Brig NC Badhani from Senapati Bazar .

Speaking to the touring students Brig NC Bhadhani advised them to gather more knowledge about the places they are scheduled visiting and spread their culture as well.
He also asked the students to remain in groups and take care of themselves.
He expressed hope to meet them so he could again listen their experience.
Speaking to the Sangai Express, the Brigadier said that the objective of the tour is to showcase India to even remotest corners of the country.
He also added that the tour will also enable highlight the rich cultural heritage of Manipur to other parts of India through these students.
The students will reach Jaipur on February 18 and will visit one after other places like Hawa Mahal, Birla Mandir, Jaisalmer, Ghantali Mandir and Jodhpur during their stay up to February 24 in the land of Rajputs.
They will get to see an Army equipment display on February 24 at Jodhpur under 'Know the Army' programme.
The most exciting part of the tour is the camel safari on sand dunes on February 22.The team will reach Senapati on Febraury 27 after completing the tour.
The students will also show tribal cultural programmes to their host in Rajasthan.
Four teachers accompanied the group.
