Edible items distributed in C-zone, safety kits to frontline workers

Different individuals and organisations continue to extend material and financial assistance to people residing in areas declared as containment zones or contributing their mite towards tackling the pandemic situation.
As a part of Seva Hi Sangathan II, BJP Manipur Pradesh secretary Pukhrambam Somorjit on Wednesday distributed edible items to households in Lilong Chajing Awang Leikai, Haoreibi Makha Leikai, Naorem Leikai, Sofa Leirak and Lilong Chajing Chingkhong Leikai which have been declared as containment zone.
Political activist Deepak Laiphrakpam also provided edible items to people living under the jurisdiction of LYYSU, Lilong Chajing Mamang Leikai and Mingle Club, Chajing Awang Leikai while social worker Kangabam Jadumani provided edibles to doctors and nurses who took active roles in vaccinating the people during the mass vaccination programme organised jointly by Covid-19 Task Force Charangpat Mayai Leikai and Pukhri Achouba Development Committee (PDC) Charangpat at Charangpat High School for Wangkhem constituency.
He also extended monetary aid to the organisers of the mass vaccination programme and distributed face masks to the people who came for vaccination.
Meanwhile, Kakching District VDF Welfare Association president K Othelo under the supervision of SP (Kakching) Victoria Yengkhom distributed edibles items procured with VDF Welfare Fund to 11 VDF personnel in Kakching who have been tested positive for Covid-19.Eteen Computerized Eye Testing and Eye Care Center proprietor Maibam Eteen also distributed lunch packs to 150 police and traffic control police personnel deployed for duty at Thoubal Bazar, Haokha Babu Bazar, Lilong Bazar, Singjamei Bazar, Singjamei Traffic point, Khoyathong Traffic point, Yaiskul check point, Bokul Makhong, RIMS road, Lamlong Bazar, Keishampat, Palace Gate, Governor road, Sangakpham, Paona Bazar, Ima Keithel and MG Avenue road.
Furthermore, social worker Mayanglambam Binod distributed edible items to five households in Kakching Khunou that have been declared as containment zones and Dalit Sena Manipur president Nongmaithem Sanjay to households in Tezpur, Elangkhangpokpi and Thong-jao that have been notified as virus zones.
On Tuesday, Apna Dal (Sone-lal) Manipur Pradesh president Konthoujam Manoranjan distributed edible items to households in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa constituency which have been declared as containment zones.
Puthiba Welfare and Cultural Society, Tripura along with Berimura Recreation Club also distributed edible items to Meiteis residing in Meitei villages in Tripura including Berimura, Borjush, Rangutia, Bogjur, Gochamura, Sonatala and Nowagao villages.
The distribution was attended by Puthiba Welfare secretary Sinam Deepak Kumar, Marup joint editor RK Tarunjit, Recreation Club secretary Takhelchangbam Amar Dutta, Puthiba Welfare vice president N Niranjan Dutta, Ksh Dhanajit, Mayengbam Baldev, Rajib Dutta, Biplab Sharma among others.
Mention may be made here that Puthiba Welfare and Cultural Society, Tripura has been distributing edible items to Meitei villages in Tripura since June 25.BJP Manipur Pradesh state council member and Covid-19 2nd wave fighting task force BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha distributed essential items to 40 households in Oksu Ningthemcha Khul that have been notified as containment zones on Tuesday.
He also extended monetary aid to the Covid Task Forces of Oksu Ningthemcha Khul and Nongpok Kakching that are playing primary role in organising vaccination programme.
BJP Kisan Morcha VP and Medical Cell convenor Dr Ksh Kala distributed face masks and hand sanitizers to people who came for inoculating Covid vaccine during a mass vaccination programme held at Pakhangba Community Hall, Pangei.
