College students bat for 4th year UG prog

Imphal, May 06 2025: Students of Liberal College, Luwangsangbam on Tuesday staged demonstration at the college gate demanding opening of 4th year Undergraduate programme.

The students held placards inscribed with slogans such as 'Save Students, Save College', 'Don't destroy academic career of students' and 'Government should open 4thyear Undergraduate Programme' among others.

Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, Liberal College magazine secretary Chingakham Rachi Chanu informed that the students have been urging authorities concerned to consider their proposal for opening of 4th year undergraduate programme under NEP, but to no avail till date.

Pointing out that sixth-semester students will complete their term in less than a month, she appealed for the inclusion of fourth year in their undergraduate programme.

While urging department concerned to issue relevant notice regarding subjects that could be incorporated in the 4th year of undergraduate programme, she also appealed for clarity on whether the 4-year course would be implemented or not at the earliest.
