UNACCO, ex-MLA Indrajit honour HSE toppers

UNACCO School, Khongman on Thursday felicitated and awarded laptops to toppers of the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE), 2024 conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (CoHSEM), and All India Senior School Examination (AISSE), 2024 and All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE), conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
During the felicitation function held at the school campus, UNACCO presented laptops, lengyan (stole) and flowers to Malemnganbi Laishram, the HSE 2024 topper in science stream; state's AISSE topper Girish Laishram, who secured 98.6 per cent as per the latest data; UNACCO School Khongman topper Ayush Mishra, who secured 96.8 per cent in AISSCE; and UNACCO School Meitram topper Thingujam Leishembi, who secured 98.4 per cent in AISSE, 2024, as encouragement.
UNACCO managing director N Irabanta lauded Ayush Mishra, who had qualified for JEE Main; Thingujam Leishembi, readmitted to UNACCO School Meitram; Girish Laishram, who is admitted to UNACCO School Khongman; and Malemnganbi Laishram, who has been ad mitted to UNACCO College Khongman.
In his speech, Irabanta said that UNACCO has been working hard to bring the level of its schools on par with schools of other states through infrastructure development and maintaining the proper academic atmosphere.
He then said that UNACCO is in the process of submitting a proposal to the state government for setting up a university, in addition to the existing two universities in the state.
The group is also planning to set up more institutions for different disciplines, he conveyed.
On the other-hand, Kshetrigao former MLA N Indrajit on Wednesday presented smart phones and reading lamps to students from the constituency who secured positions in the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE), 2024 conducted by CoHSEM, as encouragement.
During the function held at the Thambalkhong Sabal Leikai residence of the ex-MLA, the smartphones and reading lamps were presented to Thokchom Seityajit of Kongpal Mutum Leikai who secured the first position (arts), Toi-jam Ghanashyam of Wangkhei Ayangpalli Road (8th position, science), Sheikh Masud Ahmad of Khergao Makha Leikai (18th position, science), and Marziya Begum of Kshetri Bengoon Awang Leikai, who secured the 20th position (science).
The function was attended by Kshetrigao Part-1 GP Ward no 2 ex-member Md Maniruddin, Ward no 3 member Md Salan, Ward No 6 member Md Khalil, Ward No 7 member Md Qutub Ali and Ward no 8 member Taslima Begum.
In his speech, Indrajit wished for the students of the constituency to bag positions in the Class X examination as well, while assuring of extending all possible help to the students.
He then highlighted new drug incidents in the constituency and urged all concerned not to indulge in such activities in the interest of future generations of the society and state.
