ZWAD fetes Peace Prize recipient Dr Gonmei

Imphal, May 14 2025: The Zeliangrong Welfare Association, Delhi (ZWAD) felicitated Dr Pantibonliu Gonmei on being conferred with the prestigious Sean MacBride Peace Prize, 2024, which was announced on February 21, 2025 in Berlin, Germany.

ZWAD honoured Dr Gonmei on her achievement with presentation of citation on May 12, in New Delhi.

Stating that the distinguished international honour is a testament to her unwavering dedication, tireless efforts, and extraordinary contributions toward promoting peace, human rights, and social justice, a ZWAD release issued by its president Benjamin Pamei expressed that Dr Gonmei's work has been an inspiration to many, especially in advocating for marginalised communities and fostering peace through dialogue and humanitarian action.

Her achievements bring immense pride, not only to her people but also to the entire nation, said the president and wished Dr Pantibonliu Gonmei continuous success in her mission to create a more just and peaceful world, and further empower her efforts and serve as a beacon of hope for generations to come.

Dr Pantibonliu is also recipient Tribal Peace and Harmony Award (2014-2015), Dr BR Ambedkar National Award (2016), etc., added the release.
