Free breast cancer screening camp on Dec 6

Imphal, December 03 2024: Karkinos Manipur Cancer Care Institute and Research Centre, JNIMS Campus, Porompat will organise "One Day Free Breast Cancer Screening Camp" at the Centre on December 6 from 9 am to 2 pm using body harmless device from Philadelphia, USA.

In a statement, Karkinos Manipur informed that the new device is free from harmful effects of ionising radiation and is highly sensitive, yet non-invasive and useful for mass screening.

It will be supplanted by clinical examination and Histo-Pathology confirmation, to aid early detection and treatment of breast cancer and care.

The statement called upon all female citizens in the age group of 25 to 65 years, particularly having strong family history, to attend the camp.
