BVP Manipur celebrates silver jubilee

Imphal, December 23 2024:
Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Manipur Prant celebrated its silver jubilee at the Chingmeirong residence of Dr Sinam Subhashchandra on Monday.
The event commemorated 25 years of dedicated humanitarian service, reflecting the Parishad's motto, 'Service as Duty', informed a statement.
BVP NE Region president Prof M Premjit attended the event as chief guest, while Manipur Prant president Anuradha Jain, Imphal Sakha president Karam Sarat, NER patron Prof Sinam Rajendra, and Shija Medical College medicine department head Prof Bhagyabati Devi were the guests of honour.
In his address, Prof M Premjit lauded the Parishad members for their dedication and hard work, highlighted the organisation's contributions to society, reflected on journey of the Parishad, and called for continuous efforts towards a brighter future.
The event featured the felicitation of students and teachers who excelled in recent competitions organised by the BVP NE Region.
Winners of the "National Group Song Competition" held in Guwahati in November 2024 and participants from Guru Nanak School, Imphal, in the "Bharat Ko Jaano" quiz competition held in Agartala were honoured for their achievements.
Individuals who made notable contributions to society in their respective fields were also felicitated.
They included Sangeet Natya Academy Award recipient and Khongjom Parva maestro Sundari Devi, former principal of Shri Shri Bal Mukund Music College Darendrajit Sharma, and Vidyamani Wangkhem.
The Parishad concluded the event with a pledge to strengthen its membership and expand its activities, along with reaffirming commitment to building a stronger and healthier nation, the statement added.
