Mangalleibi Federation celebrates foundation day

Bishnupur, April 07 2025: Mangalleibi Village Level Federation, supported by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, celebrated its 2nd foundation day along with holding its annual general body meeting at its Utlou office on Monday.

Delivering the keynote address, Federation secretary Sougrakpam Ranibala Devi, highlighted that the federation was established with the support of 14 selfhelp groups, each comprising 10 members.

She acknowledged the significant role of the Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission under the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in transforming the lives of women who were once unemployed and lacked earning opportunities.

"Today, these women have become self-reliant, contributing to the state's economy," she said while urging the women of the self-help groups to pursue professions that align with their skills, thereby fostering a self-sustaining economy in the state.

The function was also attended by federation president L Binashakhi, Nambol Block in-charge Ksh Abhinit and Utlou Gram Panchayat Upa Pradhan L Ingocha as presidium members.
