PHED notifies water supply disruption

Imphal, May 06 2025: Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Manipur has informed consumers concerned that water supply in areas covered by Singda Water Treatment Plant (WTP) will be affected.

An appeal issued by PHED Water Supply Project Construction Division informed that due to the drastic reduction of water level at Singda Dam, which is the main source of raw water for the Singda Water Treatment Plant, the WTP is unable to produce optimum quantity of treated water.

As such normal tap water supply to the consumers in the areas such as Iroisemba, Naoremthong, Uripok, Lalambung, Lamphel, Lamphel quarters, CAU, RIMS, etc., will be affected.

The PHED also urged the public/consumers under Singda Water Treatment plant to bear the inconveniences faced and to use the available water judiciously until the water level at the source returns to normal.
