Shirui festival: DGP reviews security steps

Imphal, May 11 2025: DGP Rajeev Singh visited Ukhrul district headquarters on Sunday and reviewed security arrangement for the upcoming Shirui festival.

The DGP also held meeting with officials of the district police, Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and Assam Rifles, advising them to extend fullest cooperation to the district administration and the festival organisers to ensure peaceful conduct of the tourism promotional event.

Earlier, the DGP inspected the Ukhrul SP's office, Ukhrul police station, Litan police station and 6 MR battalion headquarters.

The DGP also assessed preparations at the festival venues and interacted with ground level officers on the progress made.

The DGP also instructed the officers to take utmost precautions for ensuring smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival.

Later, the DGP advised security agencies deployed in the district to take up necessary precautionary measures for successful conduct of the festival.
