Imphal, May 06 2025: Dhanamanjuri University, Manipur (DMU); Korean Manipuri Association, South Korea; Global Manipur Federation-Dubai Chapter; and Yelhoumee Phurup, Manipur jointly organised one day workshop on 'career guidance and placement abroad' at DMU DM College of Science on Tuesday with DMU vice chancellor Prof W Chandbabu as chief guest, DMU Campus Recruitment and Placement Cell co-ordinator Dr Chithung Mary Thomas as president, and DM College of Science principal Prof Ksh Birbal and Department of Environmental Science head Prof Koijam KK Mani Bushan as guests of honour.

During the technical session, Advanced Hydrogen Energy Solution (AHES), South Korea principal scientist Dr Soram Bobby Singh spoke on 'Pursuing higher studies in South Korea', Ulsari (South Korea) National Institute of Science and Technology, PhD candidate Oinam Yanchen on Masters and PhD Scholarships in South Korea'; Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon post-doctoral researcher Dr Khumujam Debarani on 'Personal experience in South Korea: Higher Studies, Research and Life as a woman'; Kyungpook National University, Daegu PhD candidate (GKS Fellow) Thoudam Kritish Singh on An introduction to the GKS Scholarship' and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea post-doctoral researcher Dr Toijam Sunder Meetei on 'Post-Doctoral opportunities in South Korea' virtually.

M/S Loktak Decor Company, Dubai proprietor Jotin Thokchom spoke on 'Business and job in Dubai/Canada' and M/S Haji Commercial Company LLC, Dubai senior sales manager Thokchom Sunil Meetei on the topic 'To guide and facilitate unemployed youths of Manipur who are seeking jobs in UAE' .
