Draft roll published for Tadubi AC by-election

Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, Ramananda Nongmeikappam, on Tuesday announced the publication of the Draft Photo Electoral Rolls for 49-Tadubi (ST) Assembly Constituency, where by-election is due shortly.
Speaking at a press conference held at the CEO's Lamphelpat office, Ramananda informed that the special summary revision of the electoral roll with reference to April 1, 2025, as the qualifying date has also begun on Tuesday.
He said that the draft rolls have been made available at the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), and with Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and advised interested citizens to access the rolls on the CEO Manipur website at https://ceomanipur.nic.in .

The total number of registered electors for Tadubi AC stands at 47,756, including 23,708 female voters.
There is no third-gender registration.
Of the total, 1,137 are newly eligible voters in the 18-19 age bracket.
The electoral participation (EP) ratio is reported at 39.7 per cent, and the gender ratio at 986 females per 1,000 males, with a total of 81 polling stations in the constituency.
On the other hand, the objective of the special summary revision that commenced on Tuesday is to enrol newly eligible voters who have turned or will turn 18 on or before April 1, 2025, the Joint CEO said, adding that the revision is a crucial window for correcting any existing errors and addressing wrongful inclusions in the electoral roll.
The special summary revision (SSR) process began with the publication of the draft roll.
Claims and objections can be filed until April 24, and the claims will be dispose of by May 2, with the final roll to be published on May 5.A meeting was also held earlier in the day with representatives from national and state political parties, who were briefed on the revision schedule.
Copies of the draft electoral rolls have been distributed to them for reference.
Eligible citizens can submit claims and objections both physically through designated electoral officers and online via https://voters.eci.gov.in or the Voter Helpline Mobile App.
Lists of claims and objections will be made available on the CEO's website to ensure transparency and public participation.
The Joint CEO appealed to all eligible residents of Tadubi (ST) assembly constituency to actively participate in the revision process and ensure their names are correctly listed in the electoral rolls.
The draft electoral roll was also published at the office of ERO in Senapati district on Tuesday.
The District Election Officer/DC of Senapati Mamoni Doley also handed over copies of the draft rolls at free of cost to the representatives of recognised national and state political parties func-tioning within the district in the presence of ERO Sheveine.
The by-election has been necessitated following the passing away of N Kayisii, the sitting MLA from the Tadubi Assembly Constituency.
He died on January 17, 2025, after prolonged illness.
Kayisii, a member of the National People's Party (NPP), was elected from the constituency in the last assembly elections.
