Training on organic cultivation kicks off

A five-day long training programme on 'Production and Quality Control of Organic Inputs and Implementation of FCO 1985 and Concept of Morganatic Cultivation' being organized by Regional Centre of Organic Farming (RCOF), Lamphelpat commenced from today.
Delivering welcome address, Ravindra Kumar, Assistant Director of RCOF, Imphal stated that under the prevailing environmental situation, there is an urgent need to encourage the use of organic inputs in agriculture to curb further deterioration in soil health and environment quality.
He noted that when the demand for organic product has been raising both in the domestic and international markets, the demand for organic inputs has been also increased manifold.
But this has also created a room for foul players.
