Imphal, September 02 2014:
Newly selected 344 Sub-Inspectors and Jemadars of Manipur Police are still yet to get their appointment letters.
On Tuesday, the disgruntled Core Committee set up in connection with the recruitment demanded that the Home Department issue appointment letters to the 344 Sub-Inspectors and Jemadars without any further delay.
Almost two months have passed since the completion of the recruitment process of the 344 Sub-Inspectors and Jemadars and still the Home Department is yet to issue appointment letters to the selected junior officers, Th Koklen, a member of the Committee told a press meet here on Tuesday.
He cited a statement by Additional Secretary (Home), Bobby Waikhom which said 87 of the 344 selected Sub-Inspectors and Jemadars are now undertaking re-verification which has hampered the Home Department in issuing the appointment letters.
Koklen said the Deputy Chief Minister has ignored the matter despite a series of agitations, apart from memorandums pressing him to issue the appointment letters.
