Imphal, January 11 2020:
Deeply concerned with the ban imposed on functioning of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Canchipur by a certain militant outfit in connection with the death of N Babysana, the school staff, teachers, students and parents staged a sit-in at the gate of the school appealing to the group concerned to lift the ban today.
During the sit-in, Akoijam Kedarnath, a teacher at the school, said that the sit-in was not directed against any individual or group but was an appeal to the group concerned to lift the ban considering the fate of the students and staff.
The ban will have serious impact on careers and lives of the students and staff of the school if it is not lifted, he said.
It may be noted that KCP-MJC had on January 9 banned all functions of the school citing the death of N Babysana, a Class VII student of the school.
She was found hung to death inside a hostel in the school campus on July 18 last year.
