Meeyamgi Numit ends, public updated on Govt schemes

A three-day Meeyamgi Numit organised under the aegis of Imphal East deputy commissioner at Sawombung, Keirao Bitra and Porompat sub-divisions as part of core campaign of Sushasan Saptah Prashasan, concluded at Panchayat Bhavan DC Complex, Porompat on Monday.
The first day of Meeyamgi Numit was held in the sub-divisional headquarters of Imphal East district on December 19, namely in Sawombung, while the second day was organised at Langdum community hall of Keirao Bitra sub-division.
The programme attended by district level officials of various departments, educated the masses on the benefits of various central and state government schemes and projects.
On the last day of the programme in Porompat sub-division, around 2000 people from Imphal East district were provided the opportunity to avail the benefits including clearance of pending documents.
Around 1547 people were provided with services, while another pending 323 cases were cleared.
Officials from 20 different line departments including Social Welfare, Health, Land Resources, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Education, Labour, PHED, Handloom & Textiles, Forest, Horticulture, Agriculture, CAF&PD, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Statistics, IT, MSPDCL, Minor Irrigation, etc., participated.
The first day of the programme also saw the participation of over 2000 people, of which 845 were provided access to the services, and 187 pending cases cleared.
On the second day, around 2000 people attended of which 1242 were provided with government services, while 225 pending matters resolved.
Imphal East DC Khumanthem Diana also attended the last day of the programme and oversaw the whole process.
She also distributed health cards and old age pension to the deserving beneficiaries, while assuring to continue providing similar government services to the people.
