DESAM against Dr.Sekharjit's rejoining before completion of probe

Imphal, January 28 2015:
Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has raised objection against the joining of office by Dr.Sekharjit, Ex-Director, RIMS before the completion of inquiry in a memorandum forwarded to the Prime Minister of India.
The letter highlighted the recent efforts to allow Dr.Sekharjit to rejoin the institute by the concerned Ministry and the various efforts made by Dr.Sekharjit for his return.
The memorandum stressed on the ongoing enquiries, both Departmental and CBI, against the former director.
The student body also reiterated its position on corruption and reminds the Prime Minister of his own vision of a corruption free India and 'Act East' policy for the improvement of Northeast India.
DESAM reminded that it has made extra efforts to wipe out corruption in educational institutions in Manipur and has spearheaded the ouster of Dr.Sekharjit by pointing out 12 charges of corruption in a letter submitted to the Prime Minister and Union Minister of Health, Government of India on June 19, 2014 .
