Imphal, May 15 2023:
Apart from the So0 militants backed by drug cartels, non -So0 armed Kuki militants based in Myanmar and Manipur are involved in attacking people belonging to a com-munity after the communal clash and there are enough evidences to it, claimed All Manipur United Clubs' Or-ganisation (AMUCO) and urged both the central and state governments to con-sider the matter serious-ly and take up necessary action.
AMUCO also warned that it along with the people might take up steps to showcase courage and expertise in the warfare people of Manipur have if government fails to take up necessary action.
AMUCO and the people of Manipur will never realise politi-cal aspiration of the drug cartels which brought arms and armed men from Myanmar and their attempt to grab indigenous people's land will not only be futile but also be perilous for their own people.
If the enemy (those sent by drug cartels from Myanmar) happens to surround the indigenous people of Manipur, then the enemy would also be surrounded by Manipuris settling outside Manipur and the organisation is communicating frequently with Manipuri diaspora in different parts of Assam, AMUCO said in a statement.
Supported by the drug cartels, there has been not a single word from their (Kuki) side for bringing peace after the communal clash and armed Kuki militants will not readily accept government's appeal for restoring peace as the communal violence was in-tentionally triggered by them.
Drug cartels from Myanmar executed their plan after long and meticulous discussion and the present situation has made it clear that their objective is to wage war against a com-munity, AMUCO said add-ing that there are reports of drug cartels providing arms to their ethnically similar groups settled outside Manipur to attack the community they are against.
If the Kukipeople who had already settled in Manipur since the past many years are against attempts of the drug cartels to break apart Manipur and cause communal con-flict in the land, then it would be better for them to place the same to the government and the people of Manipur, AMUCO said adding that drug cartels do not understand the value of human lives and they see only power, money and land.
According to the AMUCO, it is not the time to talk about administration of Manipur but to put efforts to end chaotic situation intentionally created by outsiders with their well-thought plan.
It also said that now is not the time for those in administration to discuss about politics of Manipur in improper ways at either Delhi or other places outside as also not the time to take political advantage for the past polit-ical differences.
The AMUCO then appealed all politicians of Manipur to discuss the present situation thoroughly and take action with utmost care and attention.
