Congress hits back to BJP Govt.; says ready for open debate in public domain if Govt spokesperson is ready

Congress MLA Khumukcham Joykishan today challenge the BJP led government saying that all charges regarding the withdrawal of fund for renovation of MPSC office by a contractor S.N Panmei when the work is carried out by another firm is true.
"Clarification by the government spokespersons Th.Bishwajit over the charges on withdrawal of money is nothing but an open secret to cover up the irregularities of the government", Jokishan said in a press conference held today morning at Congress Bhavan.
Joykishan further clarified that Hareshwar Goshwami is a spokesperson of the MPCC and what he told the media regarding the irregularities over the withdrawal of fund by one S.N.Panmei for renovation of the MPSC when the actual works was awarded and implemented by an agency called IFD Designing Construction and Manufacture is the statement of the MPCC and not individual.
"I, as spokesperson of the Congress party is ready for debate in public domain with the Government Spokesperson if he is ready", Joykishan said.
Govt.Spokesperson's clarification which he said that he had no knowledge on the renovation of works of MPSC being taken up by the MDS is total lei and is 100% wrong.
"How could the Government spokesperson who is also the works Minister of the present government said that he had no knowledge of the work being implemented by the MDS when there is clear official communication between the Commissioner of the works department and the MDS regarding the work?", Joykishan asked showing a document of communication between the Commissioner works and the MDS Project director dated August 28, 2017 .
Joykishan also showed all documents relating to the awarding of the renovation works to an agency called IFD Designing Construction and Manufacture .
On May 17, 2016, the then Secretary of the MPSC Shyam Lal Poonia communicated the Project Director of the MDS for renovation of infrastructure of the MPSC building.
On September 6, 2017 , MDS Project Director S.Rupkumar Singh intimated the MPSC Under Secretary to deposit amount of Rs.3,60,11,595/- for the renovation works which had been awarded to IFD Designing Construction and Manufacture firm.
"The amount was withdrawn by one S..NPanmei in fraudulence manner", the congress spokesperson added.
Regarding the fake CDA cheque, Jokishan hits the Govt.spokesperson saying that over Rs.30 crore has been withdrawn and making a sub-contractor scapegoat is unfortunate as clearance of the CDA could not be done at his level as the process of clearance is long which involved the highest authority and which have to pass on many tables.
"Why is the government not instituting an independent enquiry committee which includes a member from the opposition party and also a neutral person from among the journalist fraternity?" Joykishan said.
