ZNCM condemns Konsakhul incident

Imphal, April 08 2025: The Zeme Naga Council Manipur (ZNCM) has vehemently condemned the violent attack on the innocent Liangmai Naga villagers of Konsaram (Konsakhul) on April 5, 2025, injuring Liangmai village leaders and several others, allegedly carried out by armed Kuki militants group.

The ZNCM in a release stated that such barbaric act of the armed Kukis is a deliberate attempt to grab the rightfill ancestral land of the Zeliangrong-Inpui Nagas.

Stating the attack as a fatal blow to the peace loving community, the ZNCM reiterated its support for the "cognate tribe" whose identity and existence is being challenged.

The ZNCM demanded an unconditional apology from the perpetrators, cautioning that failure to comply could lead to escalating situations.
