SKABU holds cleanliness drive in Senapati

Senapati, May 19 2025: In a collective effort to promote cleanliness and hygiene, pastors and church workers under Senapati Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU) organised a cleanliness drive in and around Senapati town on Monday morning.

The initiative is part of ongoing commitment of SKABU to encourage civic responsibility and environmental cleanliness among the public.

It may be recalled that similar cleanliness drives were conducted last year as well, with different churches taking turns over a two-month period.

During the drive, organisers highlighted that Senapati, being a predominantly Christian town, sees active participation from church leaders and members in such social initiatives.

Their drive aims to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining clean surroundings, both to beautify the town and to prevent the spread of diseases.

SKABU secretary reverend Abraham stated that the union intends to continue organising such cleanliness campaigns in the future too.
