RIMS Hospital gifted with bomb

Imphal, February 26 2012:
An unknown person reportedly left a Chinese grenade at the emergency ticket counter of the Casualty Ward of RIMS Hospital last night.
The incident occurred at around 11 pm yesterday.
The unknown man reportedly came to the emergency ticket counter of the Casualty Ward and deposited the hand grenade which was wrapped up with a letter, saying that the parcel was given by his 'elders' .
The person manning the counter just took the object and placed it beside the counter table.When he opened the packet around 1 am, it turned out to a bomb.
He immediately informed the police and the Lamphel police retrieved the bomb.
Police revealed that the writing on the paper with which the hand grenade was wrapped up said that the Casualty and all OPD Wards of RIMS Hospital should be remained closed until an understanding is brought out.
It also warned that RIMS authority should be held responsible for any eventuality over defiance of the diktat.
The letter had the name of PREPAK-PRO, police further revealed.
