MSFA 2025 winners to be announced at 18th Mami Numit on Apri 19

Imphal, April 08 2025: In commemoration of the birth of Manipuri cinema, the 18th Mami Numit will be observed on April 9 alongside the 4th foundation day of the SN Chand Cine Archive & Museum (SNCCAM).

In keeping with annual tradition, the observance is being jointly organised by the Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) and Film Forum Manipur, informed a press release issued by MSFDS.

In a significant addition to the day's proceedings, the winners of the 16th Manipur State Film Awards (MSFA) 2025, including the Lifetime Achievement Award carrying a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000, will be officially declared at 2.30 pm at the MSFDS Preview Theatre.

The event will be graced by Special Commissioner, Art & Culture as chief guest, with the Director, Art & Culture serving as guest of honour and the chairman of Film Forum Manipur presiding over the ceremony.

A major highlight of the function will be the presentation of the significance of Mami Numit and the Progress Report of SNCCAM by the Secretary of MSFDS, followed by a talk on "Cinema as Cultural Heritage" by noted film conservationist Dr Rajkumar Johnson.
