Strength of a party is determined by supporters at booth level: NEIDP president

A booth level committee meeting and formation of Heirok Kendra North East India Development Party (NEIDP) was held at Ukhongshang near public ground, Thoubal district today.
NEIDP Manipur Central Working Committee (CWC) president Narengbam Sarmajit Singh, NEIDP Manipur president Doungkhomang Khongsai, NEIDP CWC vice president S Kunjakeshwor Singh, NEIDP CWC vice president N Biswajit Singh attended the meeting among others.
As part of the programme, International Goal Medallist in Jeet Kune Do in Uzbekistan, Lisham Sarju of Hijam Khunou and 8th position holder of class XII Arts, Takhellambam Ores of Ukhongshang Mamang Leikai were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 along with a certificate, each.
Speaking at the meeting, NEIDP CWC president Narengbam Sarmajit stated that the participation of supporters and people from 38 booths and different areas is a stepping stone for the party while stating that the strength of a party lies in the hand of the supporters and members working at the booth level.
He appealed to all the members and persons responsible at different booth level committees to lend maximum support in taking up welfare and developmental activities in the State.
Pointing out that there are numerous educated and unemployment youths in the State, Sarmajit stated that Salai Holdings Private Limited has provided jobs to 1200 unemployed individuals so far.
Apart from providing job opportunities to many youths, the company has been motivating renowned individuals who have achieved national and international awards as well as taking up renewable energy related works at present, he added.
He further stated that the company has also been dispensing loan to individuals who are engaged in startup business or venture including Turmeric packaging while it is taking up other initiative like opening micro industries in the State.
Salai Holdings has plans to render jobs to more than 60 per cent of the unemployed youths of the State in ten years, he claimed.
Salai Holdings has been developing ties and is presently involved in International trade with countries like China, Japan and Dubai, Sarmajit further claimed.
Many International banks have also assured to extend support like loans to the company, he said.
Salai Holdings has taken up a number of initiative for the welfare of the State and the people, he stated and added that NEIDP will bring a definitive change in the whole of North East States.
Seeking trust and support from all the people, he stated that the party is taking up different works for the betterment of the people in the pursuit of developing/adopting a political culture.
On the other hand, NEIDP Central Working Committee vice president as well as former ML A of Patsoi AC, Sapam Kunjakeshwor Singh appealed all the office bearers of different booth level committees to cooperate and work efficiently so that the party in the all North East States is united and strengthened.
He further stated that NEIDP is paving towards safeguarding the State and its people and appealed everyone to extend their support.
