Anjuman Islah-E-Muaashrah, Lilong recovers three stolen scooters

Anjuman Islah-E-Muaashrah, Lilong have been able to recover three stolen Honda scooters from supposed drug addicts.
Speaking to media persons at its office near Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi Dam and displaying the recovered vehicles, the associations' coordinator Md Muheijuddin said that the vehicles were seized/ recovered from drug addicts and are either stolen or bought by the individuals from people who stole it, at really cheap rates.
He pointed out that the three vehicles did not have any registration numbers yet and are all in pristine conditions.
The vehicles include a carbon black Honda Activa 4G, a blue and white striped Honda Dio and an orange Honda Dio, he said and added that the real owners of the vehicles can claim them by giving proper proofs.
Muheijuddin said that the individuals from whom the vehicles were seized, have been admitted to the Metal and Spiritual Fitness Centre established by Anjuman.
He conveyed that in the past, the association has recovered and handed over 77 stolen vehicles to their rightful owners.
12 vehicles were handed over to the police, he added.
Muheijuddin also expressed desire for the authority concerned to take up necessary precautions to prevent the rising cases of vehicle theft in the State.
On the other hand, he pointed out that the organisation caught two individuals carrying around 180 litres of local liquor in a Maruti van yesterday near Thoubal Leishangthem.
The individuals have been handed over to their respecf tive families after proper warning while the seized liquor will be disposed off, he added.
