ATDUM, UDDO to join Shirui Lily festival

Imphal, May 19 2025: All Tribal Disables' Union, Manipur (ATDUM) and Ukhrul District Disables' Organisation (UDDO) have decided to ensure participation of only a few persons with disabilities along with leaders of ATDUM and UDDO in the 5th State Level Shirui Lily Festival, 2025.The decision was unanimously adopted on Monday due to fund constraints and limited time available to organise a full-scale programme.

In a joint statement, AT-DUM and UDDO said that their request to authority concerned for budget allocation for organising a Disability-Inclusive Event as part of the festival could not materialise due to certain constraints.

Accordingly, no such programme will be conducted this year, informed the bodies while hoping that the government of Manipur will make budgetary allocation for organising a disability event or programme from the next Shirui Lily festival and other state-level festivals.
