MHGEWA states stand on allowance

Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association has made its stand clear that the association will wait till January 15 for the response of the Court as well as the State Government regarding its demand for increase in allowance of the Home Guard personnel.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, the association's president Y Mangi Singh said that a general body meeting was organised on December 28, last year, along with the constitution of a 23 members managing committee as well as an actions committee.
With regards to the contempt of Court case number 84 of 2017, the High Court of Manipur issued an order listing the case on January 15 .
As such, the association withdrew its agitation to wait for the Court's decision, he added.
He pointed out that the association will halt future agitation if the response is positive.
But if the response is negative, the association will decide its next steps after January 15, he added.
