Imphal, April 20 2009: Going on the offensive against the Congress and assuring to facilitate a change, former Union Minister and MPP candidate of inner Manipur Th Chaoba today predicted that the Congress won't be able to make a come back at the Centre and as such the Congress government in the state will rest in its grave.

The land is turned into a killing field and the woes of the people have been added since the people mandated the Congress to form a government in Manipur, the common candidate of the Manipur Democratic Alliance (MDA) Chaoba observes.

He was speaking at an election related public meeting today at Takyel Khongbal.

Chaoba notes that the Congress earns infamy as the right to life of the people has been adversely violated during its reign and as such the time was up for the people to swing allegiance from the Congress.

Asserting that time has now come for the people to deliver fitting retribution to the Congress government for the loss of their husbands, and children, Chaoba also reckons the people to impart an appropriate lesson to the Congress.

Chaoba asserts that no force can prevent the people from pulling down a government that delivers the opposites of people's expectation.

He urged the people not to trust the Congress and CPI who are pretending to love the people when the election is in the air.

Dwelling on the 'Change' mantra, Chaoba observes that the people and the land will surely perish if not a change is facilitated in the state.

He said this is the ripe time to ponder.

Chaoba bluntly urged the people to accept the bribery of the Congress but to vote in favour of the 'Cycle' symbol.

Bombarding the Congress, Chaoba labels the Congress government here incapable of repealing AFSPA and pretending not to know the presence of NSCN-IM's designated camps in Manipur.

He said it is a government which even kills its employees.

Chaoba assures that all these misdeeds will be highlighted in the Parliament while also reassuring to bring in a 'change' in the state.

Addressing the meeting, MPP President Dr L Chandramani said that the people have been deprived of tasting the tang of democracy.

He urged the people to cause a 'change' in the land lest the misery of the people will never depart while insisting the people to play their own part.
