Maharaja Bodhachandra College celebrates 53rd foundation day

Imphal, September 08 2022: The 53rd foundation day celebration of Maharaja Bodhachandra College, Palace Compound was held at the college today.

The programme was graced by Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba; Additional Director, University and Higher Education, Govt of Manipur, P Shantikumar; Principal of the College, Dr M Chandra and Head of Department of English, Dr RK Indira Devi as the presidium members.

Speaking as the chief guest of the occasion, MP Leishemba Sanajaoba called for cohesive efforts for the development of Maharaja Bodhachandra College which is one of the oldest and important colleges of the State exclusively for Arts stream.

He also appealed to the teachers to provide quality education and advised the students to study earnestly to bring in a developed society.

Principal Dr M Chandra while addressing the gathering, informed that at present 1886 students are studying in the college and maintained that new classrooms need to be constructed and infrastructure of the College needs to be revamped to be at par with the New Education Policy 2020 .
